DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory (April 5, 2025) – The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) arrives at U.S. Navy Support Facility (NSF) Diego Garcia for a scheduled port visit, April 5, 2025. Wayne E. Meyer is conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. NSF Diego Garcia’s mission is to provide critical support to U.S. and allied forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean, while supporting multi-theater forces operating in the CENTCOM, AFRICOM, EUCOM and PACOM areas of responsibilities in support of overseas contingency operations.
