The Honorable Dr. Terrence M. Drew, Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, delivers remarks during the closing ceremony of the Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team (LAMAT) 2025 global health engagement mission on April 4, 2025, in Frigate Bay, St. Kitts and Nevis. LAMAT is a global health engagement mission that provides healthcare accessibility and seeks to strengthen U.S. partnerships within Latin America and the Caribbean. Drew commended the more than 70 U.S. military service members who participated in the third phase of LAMAT 2025, which treated more than 2,130 patients, repaired 21 critical pieces of medical equipment and conducted 31 hours of educational sessions with host nation medical providers.
