Vashun Rodriguez, Emergency Room doctor from the 927th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, uses tweezers to remove pieces of coral from a swimmer’s foot March 29, 2025, following the Nevis to St. Kitts Cross Channel Swim on St. Kitts and Nevis. Rodriguez is deployed to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis in support of the Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team (LAMAT) 2025, which provides relief to overtaxed host nation medical systems, builds trust among ally and partner nations and bolsters Airmen’s readiness and deployed capabilities.
