Mortar teams from across the globe take the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment (EPFA) during the 2025 International Best Mortar Competition at Peden Field on Fort Benning, Georgia, April 7, 2025. During the EPFA, competitors started with a one-mile run, then completed dead-stop push-ups, a 100-meter sprint, lifted sixteen 40-pound sandbags, 50-meter farmer’s carry with two 40-pound water cans, 25-meter high crawl, 25-meter three-to-five second rush, and another one-mile run.
