250409-N-KC192-1028 PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Apr. 9, 2025) Dr. Paul Gilooly, the Health Risk Assessor at Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command, gives dis-, mis- and mal- information training to Sailors and staff assigned to Navy Environmental Preventive Medicine Unit (NEPMU) 2, the Ford-class aircraft carrier Pre-Commissioning Unit John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), and NMFL on board Naval Support Activity (NSA) Hampton Roads - Portsmouth Annex, April 9, 2025. In preparation for future activation, risk communication training equips these Sailors and staff with the skills necessary to accurately and clearly plan and execute communications to internal and external stakeholders on any public health issue that impacts their mission. Stationary and roving interviews were conducted to allow the students to apply some of the speaking techniques they have learned from the workshop.
