Dwyer with the Leader Training Brigade recounts his Purple Heart story during a Leader Professional Development seminar April 7, 2025, at French Theater, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. Dwyer sustained life-threatening injuries, which resulted in the loss of his left eye and left hand.
