U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Preston Underwood, 12th Flying Training Squadron remotely piloted aircraft student, conducts bird mitigation operations March 24, 2025, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. The biodegradable paintball method is designed to gently flush birds from the area, encouraging them to relocate to reduce the potential threat they pose to aircraft operations.
