Soldiers of the North Carolina National Guard’s 630th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion render a salute as the National Anthem is played during the unit’s mobilization ceremony here, March 23. More than 45 soldiers will deploy in support of the Treaty of Peace between Egypt and Israel. The Lenoir-based unit will be responsible for overall command and control of sustainment operations, which includes transportation and postal service support for the region. “You too are willing to make that same sacrifice and are willing to do whatever it takes in order to preserve and protect the freedoms that we all enjoy,” said Maj. Gen. Greg Lusk, adjutant general of North Carolina during the ceremony. (U.S. Army Photo by Maj. Jennifer Todd, North Carolina National Guard Public Affairs)
