MCAS Iwakuni, Japan (Mar. 19, 2025) — Children learn about construction equipment and engineering principles from Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3 during a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Day event at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. The Seabees provided hands-on demonstrations and explanations, sparking curiosity and inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations and supporting major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of operations.
