NEWPORT, R.I.— Assistant Professor of History and International Affairs at George Washington University Aaron Bateman delivers a lecture to U.S. Naval War College (NWC) students, staff and faculty during a visit to the college’s campus onboard Naval Station Newport, March 24, 2025. The lecture was part of NWC’s Lectures of Opportunity series, which is designed to expose students to diverse viewpoints from leaders, researchers and practitioners in the field of national security and defense matters.
