General Cristopher Donahue, Commanding General, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, visits Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, March 12, 2025. He visited with U.S. Soldiers assigned to Kosovo Force Regional Command East and Area Support Group Balkans to get an operational overview of the KFOR mission and to better understand the daily life of the deployed Soldiers. KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX (the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo) in their respective roles as security responders.
