Lt. Gen. Donald Campbell, U.S. Army Europe commander (pictured right), stated that the mission in Afghanistan has shifted from the U.S. in the forefront to more of an advise and assist role here March 14, 2013. Campbell is helping to train soldiers of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment deploying to Afghanistan, who are based out of Germany, at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center.
