Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members patrol prior to a demonstration of combat lifesaving capabilities March 6 during Exercise Forest Light 13-3 at the Hokkaido-Dai Maneuver Area in Hokkaido prefecture, Japan. Marines and JGSDF members worked through language barriers and unfamiliar procedures to strengthen bonds and increase interoperability of forces during Forest Light. The JGSDF members are with the 11th Infantry Regiment, 7th Armored Division, Northern Army, JGSDF.
