U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Damion Rose, 6th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, presents information to 6th Medical Group biomedical engineering (BEE) Airmen on the flightline at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, Feb. 26, 2025. Rose worked with the 6th MDG Airmen and 6th Civil Engineer Squadron fuels specialists to simulate decontaminating a KC-135 Stratotanker of nuclear radiation. In the catastrophic event of a nuclear detonation, MacDill’s KC-135s run the risk of becoming contaminated during emergency operations; BEE Airmen will work together with flightline personnel to quickly decontaminate the aircraft of any fallout before taking off again.
