250221-N-AH609-1003-GR NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (Feb. 21, 2025) A Sailor assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68), participates in two volunteer beach clean ups at Loutraki and Marathi in Crete, Greece, on Feb. 21, 2025. USS The Sullivans is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations supporting U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa to defend U.S., Allied and partner interests. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation that enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
