Daeseong-dong, the only village in the southern portion of the DMZ, viewed from Observation Post Ouellette, Feb. 21, 2025. The 323-foot flagpole flying the Republic of Korea flag was erected by the ROK Government in the 1980s to celebrate the nation hosting the Olympics.
