Soldiers at U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden proudly donned a new patch during a ceremony held on Clay Kaserne on Feb. 19, symbolizing their official alignment with the 56th Multi-Domain Command. This significant change follows the recent issuance of Headquarters Department of the Army Execute Order 123-25, which designates all uniformed personnel at the garrison as being under Tactical Control (TACON) of the Senior Commander, Maj. Gen. John Rafferty.
During the patching ceremony, Rafferty welcomed the Garrison Wiesbaden team to the 56th Multi-Domain Command, emphasizing that the ceremony is a formality as two commands have closely worked together in partnership over last year.
“Everybody here plays a significant role in making our community better, making us more ready,” Rafferty said during the event. “And while it’s a simple patching ceremony, I hope that, like me and Sgt. Maj. Jackson, we look at this as opportunity to strengthen our resolve and see our objectives more clearly and work better together as a team.”
