U.S. Army California National Guard pilots and aircrew from Alpha Company, 1-140 Assault Helicopter Battalion, 40 Combat Aviation Brigade, make it to the airfield for their continuation training at Joint Force Training Base Los Alamitos, Calif., Feb. 13, 2025. As part of their requirements, they must log a certain amount of flight time every six months through these training flights. During these sessions, they perform various tasks to maintain their skills, learn new techniques, and improve as Army aviators. Due to inclement weather, they had to turn back. Even on challenging days, Guardsmen remain committed to sharpening their skills and preparing for the skies. (U.S. Army National Guard Photo by Sgt. Chau Le)
