Film crew members of the "Army Wives" television show brief airmen on their role as “extras” in an upcoming scene Feb. 28, 2013, at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base, S.C. The roles of the airmen, from the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, helped contribute to the realism of the scene. "Army Wives" tells the story of four women and one man who are brought together by their common bond - they all have military spouses. The series is based on the book "Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives" by Tanya Biank and is produced by ABC Television Studio and The Mark Gordon Company.
