U.S. Marines and sailors work alongside residents of the Karunyawet Home for Disabled Women clearing shrubs from an overgrown lot at the home’s campus in Chonburi province, Kingdom of Thailand, during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 Feb. 21. U.S. Marines and sailors volunteered their time at the home to help members of the local community prepare the grounds for the installation of a park. Exercise Cobra Gold, in its 32nd iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective response to regional crises by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
