Austin III receives a tour from military leaders from the U.S., Japan, and Australia during his visit to the Ground Component Command headquarters to observe the trilateral command post exercise Yama Sakura 87 at Camp Asaka, Japan, Dec. 11, 2024. Established in 1982, the Yama Sakura exercise focuses on strengthening interoperability among the three nations while honing crisis-response capabilities and reinforcing regional stability.
