U.S. Marines visit Kakazu Takadai park, historically known as the site of the Battle of Kakazu Ridge during the Battle of Okinawa, at Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 26, 2024. The Marines and JGSDF members toured various battle sites around Okinawa to discuss the Battle of Okinawa, battle strategies and tactics, and the U.S.-Japan alliance. The Noncommissioned Officer Symposium exposes NCOs from both nations to different leadership techniques to develop various mentorship styles through group discussions held by senior leaders.
