PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A U.S. Navy Diver from Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2 builds a patch to be used to repair a ballast tank bulkhead on the ex-USS Fort McHenry (LSD-43) as part of an afloat salvage drill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nov. 19, 2024. MDSU 2 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 6 are training as an integrated team during a simulated afloat salvage exercise encompassing battle damage, unexploded ordnance (UXO) and long-range communication aboard the ex-USS Fort McHenry.
