U.S. Marines and Sailors with the Wasp (WSP) Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC), participate in a lifting competition aboard the Harpers Ferry-class dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), while ported in Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, Greece, Nov. 7, 2024. The 24th MEU (SOC) and WSP ARG are on a scheduled deployment to U.S. Naval Forced Europe and Africa area of operations to support U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region, including in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
