U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Andre Montijo, a human resources noncommissioned officer, and U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Phuong Tran, the command signal officer for the 7th Mission Support Command, pose for a photo during an Army Substance Abuse Program sponsored event during unit organizational day, Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, at the command headquarters on Daenner Kaserne, in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Participants donned impairment goggles and attempted to complete a series of tasks, including evaluating and moving a casualty to demonstrate the degradation of function when under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The event, planned and hosted by Ms. Madeline Thompson, the financial literacy specialist with the 7th MSC's Family Programs directorate, promoted communication between shops and built camaraderie among headquarters personnel.
The 7th Mission Support Command is the U.S. Army Reserve presence in Europe. Comprised of 26 units across Germany and Italy, the 7th MSC provides logistical and sustainment resources in support of U.S. Army Europe and Africa missions.
