    Pfc. Johnston, a soldier in the 92nd Engineer Battalion “Black Diamonds,” attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, is the first to get on the bus, the first step to leaving and beginning his deployment to Afghanistan for nine months in order to help the drawdown of U.S. forces in Afghanistan by reducing the Army’s structural footprint there.
