Cobra Gold, in its 32nd iteration, is a multinational exercise that promotes regional prosperity, security and cooperation among partner militaries. Yawirach is an infanrtyman with 7th Regiment, 7th Division, 3rd Region, Royal Thai Army. Kim and U.S. soldiers are with 1st Platoon, Baker Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division out of Camp Casey, Republic of Korea.
