Lt. Hayley Stromberg, an emergency room nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, checks a patient’s vitals. Stromberg is a native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She says, “I love working with people. Getting to know a patient’s story and being steadfast in their care when they are not at their best is fulfilling.” Emergency Nurses Week runs Oct. 9-15, honoring their resiliency and tireless work in providing efficient and compassionate patient care in often critical and life-threatening situations.
