Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Omar Vegarivera, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), signals an MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 as it approaches the flight deck. The Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group is deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and taking part in Cobra Gold, a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored multinational joint exercise designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
