A military helicopter is being loaded or unloaded from a large cargo aircraft at night. Multiple personnel in military uniforms are guiding and assisting with the operation on the tarmac. The scene is illuminated by the cargo bay's interior lighting, creating a dramatic contrast against the dark night sky.

Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa

Members of the 22nd Airlift Squadron from Travis Air Force Base and members of the new 303rd Emergency Rescue Squadron here, unload one of three HH60 helicopters from a C5 Galaxy. The squadron is replacing the Heavy Marine Helicopter 464th Detachment A, who has been handling the mission here for the past ten years. The arrival of the 303rd will better equip Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa for personnel recovery due to the helicopters' capabilities. This is one more tool that CJTF-HOA uses to be the preferred security partner of choice in an increasingly secure, stable, and developing East Africa. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
