U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Cole Chaney, a Covington, Louisiana native and a F/A-18 fixed-wing aircraft mechanic assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, utilizes a simulated fuel hose while participating in a Joint Forward Arming and Refueling Point Virtual Reality Panel Trainer tactical demonstration as part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 1-25 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, Oct. 9, 2024. The JFARP VR trainer provides Marines a way to train on refueling procedures on various aircraft that they may have not encountered in formal training which can result in increased sortie generation, safety of personnel and mitigated damage of equipment. The WTI course is a seven-week training event hosted by MAWTS-1 which emphasizes operational integration of the six functions of Marine aviation in support of the Marine Air Ground Task Force, Joint and Coalition Forces.
