Winners of the Fort Bliss Iron Chef of the Year Competition, Sgt. Aaron Sanchez from Dakota Company, 1st Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, and Spc. Joseph Vreeland from 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, proudly display their medals in front of the Division Headquarters building at Fort Bliss, Texas, on October 4, 2024. The competition began with an Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT), followed by a ServSafe written exam, a three-course mystery ingredient cookoff, and concluded with a formal board. The two winners will advance to the III Corps Chef of the Year Competition at Fort Cavazos, Texas, where they will represent 1AD and compete against participants from other III Corps divisions.
