Members of the 42nd Air Base Wing gather for the Operation Lethal Backbone course graduation at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, Sept. 26, 2024. OLB is designed to bridge the gap between initial promotion and the practical application of leadership skills for newly promoted noncommissioned officers. Unlike traditional Enlisted Professional Military Education or Air Force Foundation courses, OLB focuses on providing hands-on, application-based experience.
