Dexter Caruthers, a security specialist with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s G2 (Intelligence and Security) section, inspects the teeth on a classified shredder to ensure it meets the requirements to destroy classified paper documents, Aug. 27. As part of their job Caruthers, and other members of the Information Security team, ensure items like printers are able to effectively destroy classified information, as well as doing spot checks to ensure classified information is being protected and handled properly.
