U.S. Marine Maj. Gen. Christopher S. Owens, center, is presented with a gift from Royal Thai Air Force Group Capt. Narong Intachat Feb. 10 during a visit to Wing One Royal Thai Air Force Base, Nakhon Ratchasima, Kingdom of Thailand. Owens visited the Marine forces air combat element participating in Cobra Gold 2013 and gave words of encouragement during a mass briefing for the Thai and U.S. forces. Thailand and the U.S. are committed to working together in areas of common interest for the betterment of regional security. Owens is the commanding general of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Intachat is the commanding officer of Wing One Royal Thai Air Force Base, RTAF.
