A scale version of the XB-70 Valkyrie inlet with a full-scale YJ93 engine installed is tested in the 16-foot supersonic wind tunnel at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., headquarters of Arnold Engineering Development Complex, in 1962. Beginning in the late 1950s and continuing through the mid-1960s, tests were conducted at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., headquarters of Arnold Engineering Development Complex, in support of the XB-70 program.
