U.S. Army Col. Sean McClure, senior military advisor, Africa Center for Strategic studies, addresses the crowd during the fourth semi-annual Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) workshop at the Golden Lion Conference Center, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Aug. 26, 2024. The annual TSC workshop brought together members of U.S. Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) Security Cooperation workforce and others for a comprehensive development opportunity. Participants engaged in planning, executing, administering, monitoring, assessing, and evaluating security cooperation programs and activities that support theater, national defense, and national security strategy objectives. SETAF-AF plays a pivotal role in advancing these objectives by planning and executing hundreds of security cooperation initiatives across Africa each year, fostering stronger partnerships and enhancing regional stability.
