Nathaniel Armendariz, commander of Alpha Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade Reconnaissance Company, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and Amphibious Reconnaissance 2 Marines, Indonesian National Armed Forces Korps Marinir, have a meeting for water operations during Super Garuda Shield 24, Aug. 27, 2024, at Pantai Banongan, Indonesia. Super Garuda Shield is an annual exercise that has grown in scope and size since 2009.
