Brig. Gen. Steven Carpenter, Commanding General of the 7th Army Training Command, and unit leaders meet with Steve Gonzalez, Deputy Staff Director of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee (HVAC), and staff from the United States Senate Armed Services Committee in Grafenwoehr, Germany, Aug. 15, 2024. The purpose of the HVAC visit is to learn about issues that may require HVAC's attention in the future. The 7ATC is the U.S. Army's largest overseas training command, setting the training environment and resourcing live, virtual, and constructed training for all U.S. Army forces stationed in and deployed in Europe, as well as select U.S. European Command allied and partner units.
