    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Navy Lt. j.g. Samuel Stewart, an anti-terrorism officer with the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), poses for a photograph during a supply replenishment at White Beach Naval Base, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 5, 2024. The replenishment was conducted to restock fuel, food and supplies for the Marines and Sailors aboard the USS Green Bay. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region. Stewart is a native of Colorado. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Peter J. Eilen)
