Meghan Saito from Milford, Connecticut, reviews an answer from Boatswains Mate Seaman Diamond Wilson from Washington D.C., during a helmsman knowledge competition as part of training aboard the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) while underway in the Sulu Sea, Aug. 8, 2024. Qualification as a helmsman is a rigorous process as the position requires Sailors to steer the ship while out at sea through all types of weather conditions.
