A small unmanned aircraft system flies inside the Fire Station at Fairchild Air Force base, Washington, August 6, 2024. The Fairchild AFB fire department is currently awaiting approval for sUAS usage to improve their capabilities to fight and prevent wildfires both on and off the installation. sUAS are used for aerial surveillance to assess fire scenes, locate hotspots and monitor fire spread.
