Watson for being nominated the gung-ho Marine of the course following a physical training session at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, July 29, 2024. Watson is a data systems administrator with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, and the Corporals Course class guide. The Gung Ho award is a peer-based honor given to Marines who demonstrate the most motivation and embody the Marine Corps' "gung ho" philosophy, rooted in the Chinese phrase meaning "working together.” Corporals Course is designed to provide Marines with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to assume greater responsibility as a non-commissioned officer.
