    240729-N-PQ495-1099 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 29, 2024) Retail Specialist 2nd Class Jamil Joaquin, a native of San Diego, California, a sailor assigned to Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59), heaves the line while conducting a replenishment at sea with Royal New Zealand Navy auxiliary oiler replenishment ship HMNZS Aotearoa (A 11) in the Pacific Ocean during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy's timeless roles of sea control and power projection. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
