240722-N-PQ495-1347 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 22, 2024) From left, Royal Brunei Navy Darussalam-class off-shore patrol vessel KDB Darussalam (06), the Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigate HMCS Vancouver (FFH 331), Indian Navy Shivalik-class stealth frigate INS Satpura (F48), Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101), and Korean Navy destroyer ROKS Yulgok Yi I (DDG 992) sail in formation for a PHOTOEX in the Pacific Ocean during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024. As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy's timeless roles of sea control and power projection. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
