A Task Force Pegasus Trooper, assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, makes his final preflight checks while Chief Warrant Officer Two Gerald Lloyd gets ready for his flight training on Forward Operating Site Powidz, July 11, 2024. The purpose of the flight was to validate Lloyd's skills for his future role as a pilot in command for the 1st Cavalry Division with proficiency and confidence. The 1st Cavalry Division mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, strengthening interoperability with NATO allies and regional security partners which provides competent and ready forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
