Col. Bai Lan Zhu assumed leadership of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) during a ceremony July 3, 2024 on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Zhu assumed leadership from Lt. Col. Todd Myers, who was the system’s first Materiel Leader.
ABMS is the Air Force’s component of a collective effort by the Air Force, Army, and Navy to develop a system that provides airpower anytime, anywhere to battlefield commanders. This effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or JADC2. The effort’s goal is to provide situational awareness of airpower assets and allow communication and coordinated action with allies across all domains in a contested environment. Brig. Gen. Luke Cropsey presided over the ceremony. He is the Department of the Air Force’s Integrating Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Command Control Communications and Battle Management (C3BM).
