The 113th Maintenance Group opened the Albert F. Giesting Heritage Room to honor their history and legacy at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, June 8, 2024. “We wanted to make a heritage room that spoke specifically not only to our heritage as Capital Guardians, but our heritage as maintainers for both C-40s and F-16s, which is unique across the entire Air Force, which is worthy of celebration,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Mary P. Ortiz, 113th Maintenance Group Commander. The room is located in Hangar 16 on the second floor and the door is always open for visitors to learn more about Capital Guardian history.
