Yorktown, Va. (June 21, 2024) Capt. Dan Patrick, Commanding Officer, Naval Weapons Station (NWS) Yorktown speaks with students and faculty members from the College of William & Mary and Flagler College at an archaeological field school site onboard the installation. The unique field school allowed a contingent of students under the close supervision of Anthropology Professor Martin Gallivan from the College William & Mary and Professor Jessica Jenkins from Flagler College a practical opportunity to uncover a plethora of artifacts which help answer research questions pertaining to early civilizations in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region.
