KATTEGAT STRAIT (June 14, 2024) Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) move a simulated casualty to an operating table in one of the ship’s operating rooms during a mass casualty exercise, June 14, 2024, in the Kattegat Strait. Wasp is underway in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations in support of the exercise Baltic Operations 2024 (BALTOPS 24) as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC). The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) support high-end warfighting exercises while demonstrating speed and agility operating in a dynamic security environment.
